Anthony Tarsitano
Anthony Tarsitano
As beautiful as the world is, it ain’t always pretty. Perhaps this statement best characterizes Tarsitano’s recent work. His perspective of the world is revealed through a series of varied, at times random, subjects. Figurative images are used to convey his point of view, exploring inner, interpersonal and societal perspectives. In some cases, a work’s title serves more as a narrative, providing greater insight into these perspectives. The medium of sumi ink on paper presents a simplified black and white palette, producing blunt graphic imagery in an almost Rorschach-like form of communication.
