Atlantic Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Perseverance thru Privilege, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures, on view from Tuesday, September 6th through Saturday, September 24, 2022. A reception for the artist will be held on Thursday, September 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Jeff Dickash is showing his collections of works spanning the past decade. Selected pieces will exemplify complicated transitions, heartbreak, and learning better allyship. Coming from a humble upbringing, constantly battling mental illness, and working his way from the bottom to the top of the hospitality industry has given Jeffrey his open-minded perspective. The name Perseverance thru Privilege asks, how can you serve your fellow human better? Are we using intentional action with respect for all living things? Will you use your privilege to fight for equality?
A Selection of Perseverance Thru Privilege is in collaboration with a local charity, Support Creativity. Profits from paintings inspired by The Reign of Kindo, A NYC based band, will be donated to fund art school scholarships for underserved youths. Opening night will include a live music set from said band, and a virtual auction to benefit Support Creativity.
“Over the past 2 years I’ve created relationships with local charities and performers, organized multiple virtual auctions, and raised money while lifting spirits during very trying times. Next to creating, it has been the truest version of myself I have felt to date. I hope to spread more positivity with my Lead With Your heART movement.
Art is the only true passion that has remained a staple in my life. It has driven me to look wider, feel deeper and smile truer than ever before. I hope it has the same effect on you.“
