For the past seven years, Allison has been photographing the landscape and environs in south central Pennsylvania. This region of Pennsylvania provides an ever-changing source of subject matter.

The compositions of Allison’s images have been described by one critic as “incorporating the formal structures of color, texture, line, and form as subject matter.”

When asked to describe his work, David commented,

“I photograph the landscape in a variety of ways by layering subject matter, the effect produces images that appear void of a central point of focus. My intent is to create images where everything can be perceived as subject “
