David R. Allison

David R. Allison’s images are from an on-going project and self – published book titled The Pennsylvania Project.

For the past five years David has been photographing the landscape and environs of south central Pennsylvania. This region of Pennsylvania is varied and provides an ever-changing source for subject matter.

The compositions in Allison’s images have a formal structure. each image explores the concept of color, texture, space, and light as subject.

When asked to describe his work, David commented, ”I photograph the landscape in a variety of ways through layering subject matter. The effect produces images that appear void of a central focus point. My intent is to create photographs where everything in the image can be perceived as subject.”
