Anita Arellano

Anita Arellano’s exploration of the themes of truth, authenticity, and the American community continue to provide inspiration in her current work.  After 10 years in New York City she has recently relocated back to her home of San Francisco, California.

Arellano is a visual artist and educator.  She received her undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley in Political Science, her arts education at Parsons, The New School and the Art Students League in New York City and her graduate degree at San Francisco State University. Arellano has taught design and professional practices at FIDM in San Francisco, drawing and painting at the Oakland School for the Arts and currently teaches studio art to a diverse group of high school students in San Francisco’s Bay View district.
